ibn-sina
c. 980 - 1037 CE
Ibn-Sina was an Islamic philosopher who lived
from 980 to 1037 CE. He is most credited with
creating the canon of medicine, a medical
encyclopedia used across many different islamic
universities. The name Avicenna is a latin
corruption of the name Ibn-Sina from when his
work was translated to other languages. He was
most influenced by aristotle's
philosophy.
